Any Enablers or ‘Save Me/Feed Me’s’ on Twitter?

That was the title of my thread as I was seeking to be able to enjoy sharing ‘Tweets’with people who have a different worldview than I.

Before long, emotivism rears its ugly head in the form of the following:

“Every time you write “Save Me/Feed Me’s” (aside from the grammatical error), I think of two things:

1) Your callous disregard for people in need, and

2) The oftentime expressed “Me, Me, Me!” sentiment of too many on the Right.

But perhaps you think you’re being “funny”.”

My reply was to address each point:

“Every time you write “Save Me/Feed Me’s” (aside from the grammatical error), I think of two things:

1) Your callous disregard for people in need, and…”

Don’t misunderstand what I mean by ‘Save Me/Feed Me’s’. That term came from the quote I have on my profile and it is directed at those who believe the gub’ment should take care of them from cradle to grave.

I have a great deal of compassion for people in need and I give more than 10% of my gross income to that. Much more so than such ‘magnanimous’ Enablers like Joe Biden and Barack Obama.

I have been active with the Atlanta Union Mission, Angel Tree and a local outreach program for children in rural areas. I do not say that list my ‘compassion resume’ but don’t believe for one second that if someone does not want money filtered through the overwhelmingly inept federal gub’ment to give people generation after generation that they are not compassionate.

“2) The oftentime expressed “Me, Me, Me!” sentiment of too many on the Right.”

Again, have you looked at any of the research of who actually gives of their OWN money? Conservatives or Liberals? You may need some help getting that hook out of your mouth when you do.

“But perhaps you think you’re being “funny”.

Yea, I think I am being maybe just a little bit funny.

Blake

What usually happens when the rebar of reason is shoved into emotivism’s tricycle spokes, the thread shuts down.

The enabler moved on to other threads not able to refute that there are other/better ways to help people than to redistribute income through the gub’ment.
